The text stitched on cloth refers to a poem in the oldest Japanese anthology named Man-You-Shuu, which was edited around the 7-8th century and more than 4,500 poems were compiled in it. Although it is written in Japanese, I can neither read nor understand it as it is written in old Japanese, very different from the modern Japanese that I am accustomed to.
