The embroidery is stitched with red threads extracted from an ordinary check pattern fabric without being cut from the original fabric. Therefore, there are no red threads in the lattice inside the outline of the embroidery. This work was inspired by Suigetsu-Kannon (Buddha statue in Tōkei-ji temple) in the 13th century Japan, focusing particularly on the folds of the clothing worn by the statue.
